Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors the veterans that make up the band “The Resilient”.  Nate Kalwicki who lost his leg in Afghanistan and plays guitar.  Marcus D’Andrea lost both legs, as did vocalist Tim Donley.  Juan Dominguez lost both legs and an arm and thanks to a special pedal, plays the drums.  With the help of professional musician Greg Loman, “The Resilient” is not only playing gigs and working on their first album, they are working on their themselves and their wounds.  Greg says, “Through the recovery we all discovered this really intense passion for honest musicianship and they’ve all gotten so good.”  Nate, Marcus, Tim and Juan, thank you for your service.
