A storm system brought some light snow to central and northern areas of Kansas late Friday into Saturday morning, and there was a rain and snow mix in Wichita.

Snowfall amounts have been around one inch in northern Kansas, with one observer reporting 2.6 inches southwest of Concordia, and 3 inches were reported at Miltonvale, in Cloud County. One inch of snow was reported in Great Bend.  Salina and Russell each reported half an inch.

Wichita had light rain with some snow, but no accumulations of snow were expected.

The precipitation is expected to move out and it will be windy and colder for the day.  The high in Wichita will be 45.
