The Wichita State men’s basketball team led by as many as 11 points in the second half, but were unable to hold off Lipscomb in their NIT semi-final game Tuesday night. The Bisons were led by guard Garrison Matthews, who had 34 points and hit his ninth three pointer of the game to take the lead with 1:10 left. The Shockers were unable to score in the final 3:45 of the game. Dexter Dennis score 13 points and Markus McDuffie chipped in 12 points for the Shockers. Lipscomb will play the winner of Texas vs. TCU in the NIT title game Thursday night in Madison Square Garden.
