A couple of Kansas school districts held bond issue votes Tuesday.
RENWICK
The Renwick district, which includes schools in Andale, Garden Plain and Colwich, voted 899 to 447 to approve a $28 million bond issue.
If Sedgwick County approves, the bond would go toward installing secure entrances at each of the Renwick district schools, improvements to learning spaces, and adding accessible restrooms to several buildings.
CIMARRON-ENSIGN
In southwest Kansas, the Cimarron-Ensign district did not pass a bond issue. The vote fell with 576 votes against and 300 supporting the bond.
Residents in USD 102 voted down the $4.3 million bond for new bleachers and a new athletic facility.
County commissioners still need to canvass the elections to confirm the results.
