Ascension Via Christi, Wichita State, Newman University, the City of Wichita, and other community services and organizations are partnering to provide free health care this weekend.
The third annual Medical Mission At Home will take place at Mueller Aerospace Magnet Elementary. The event starts with opening remarks at 9 a.m.
Patients will be seen on a first come, first serve basis starting at 9:30 a.m. Everyone who registers by 3 p.m. will be able to receive care.
Care will include:
- Medical testing
- Medical care
- Dental, vision and hearing screening
- Foot care
- Community services
- Connection to follow-up care
All of the services will be free of charge. The organizations participating include the City of Wichita, Wichita State University – College of Health Professions, Public Policy and Management Center, College of Education, Hunter Health Center, KU School of Pharmacy – Wichita Campus, KU School of Medicine – Wichita Campus, Medical Services Bureau, and the Sedgwick County Division of Health.
