Wichita airfares are dropping. According to the latest data released by the City of Wichita, airfares at Wichita Eisenhower National Airport dropped 4-percent in the fourth quarter of 2018. Wichita’s average air far is around $390 compared to $407 the year previous.
The City attributes the price drop to Frontier Airlines and its impact on fares and passengers to Denver. The low-cost carrier’s average fare from Wichita was around $30, compared to United Airlines, which charged $242 for the same flights in the fourth quarter of 2017.
