Wichita Police took a 26-year-old man into custody after he tried to rob a smoke shop late Thursday night.
It happened at the Dollar Plus, located off Hydraulic, just north of Lincoln. A woman working at the shop reported that a man entered the store, made threats to her, and then demanded money.
She refused, and he damaged items in the store before running away. Police found the 27-year-old man walking in the area.
He was booked into jail for robbery, criminal damage to property, and an outstanding warrant.
