9-year-old cut in fight over video game

A 9-year-old boy is recovering after being cut to his back because of a fight over a video game.

Wichita police were called to a home around 10:30 Saturday night, in the 2200 block of South Glendale, near Pawnee and Oliver.

Investigators say three boys, ages 9, 12, and 13, were at the 12-year-old’s home playing video games. An argument started and police say the 12-year-old went and got a knife, then threw it at the 9-year-old while outside the home. The boy’s injury is described as minor. Police have identified the 9 and 13-year-old boys as brothers.

An investigation is ongoing.
