The 9th annual VA2K Walk & Roll is happening May 15.
It’s a walk that’s just over a mile and encourages people to be active. Participants can also help homeless veterans by making food and clothing donations. The walk is taking place at VA locations across the country.
Money raised through the walk has helped the Dole VA Center’s Homeless Program reach more veterans in Wichita and western Kansas.
This year’s walk in Wichita will take place at the Dole VA’s new 1.5-mile walking path. It was built to help veterans and VA employees stay active. The Dole VA Farmer’s Market will also be open May 15. The market will be held on the front lawn in front of building 4.
More details on the event can be found on the Dole VA Center’s Facebook page.
