Star Spangled Salute: Bridge Angels Bring Awareness To Veteran Suicide

Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors the group called “Bridgewatch Angels”.  Yesterday, on the 82nd Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge, this group of volunteers walked the Golden Gate Bridge to raise awareness for an important issue, remembering the veterans who took their own lives. You’ll find volunteers from the group every day of the year, weekend and holidays, looking for people in crisis.  Mia Munayer, founder of the group says it’s important to raise awareness about PTSD and issues that surround PTSD in terms of triggers that veterans and active duty personnel experience.  Thank you Mia and all the Bridgewatch Angels volunteers for your dedication to our veterans.
