Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors 63-year old Army Reserve paratrooper Jim Micko. Jim is a member of the Liberty Jump Team and next week Jim will remember history in a very unique way. June 6th will mark the 75 anniversary of the D-Day invasion. The night before the invasion, 13,000 paratroopers dropped in advance to prevent counter attacks and to get the enemy off balance. To remember one of the most historic days of WWII, Jim will parachute several times and will also jump for the French government’s official commemoration of the Normandy D-Day airborne drops.
