Riverfest fun for Saturday, June 1

Riverfest fun for Saturday, June 1

Riverfest fun for Saturday, June 1

The first Saturday of Riverfest starts with Hot Air Balloons and the River Run. That run begins at 7:00 a.m and includes a 10K, a 5K Wheelchair Race, a 5K, and a 2-mile family fun run. There’s even a “tot trot” and — for the adults — a Finish Line Celebration for runners courtesy of Burgardt Liquor.

In addition to the River Run, morning festivities at Riverfest include the Admiral’s Pancake Feed from 7:30-10am.

Family fun in the afternoon means “Project PopCon,” Wichita’s own pop culture convention brought to you by our news partners at KWCH. There’s also a toy train display, Lucha Libre (luka lee-bray) wrestling, and a flash mob.

Evening means the Los Lobos concert on Kennedy Plaza, sponsored by our sister stations 104.5 The Fox, Radio Lobo, and T-95. The music starts at 6:30 with Sleepy Truckers; Delgado Brothers take the stage at 8:00; Los Lobos plays at 9:30.

Our sister station Radio Lobo brings you the Viva Wichita show on the RedGuard stage from 6-10 p.m.

Here’s the link to register for activities.
