Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Marine veteran Juan Cornejo and all the veterans who have found their fighting, competitive spirit again thanks to the organization Dare2Tri. Some arrived in wheelchairs, some in braces and others in prosthetics. Juan was told by doctors he would never walk again after suffering 2 traumatic brain injuries in Afghanistan. Now, thanks to Dare2Tri Military Camp he’s training to run, bike and swim. Juan says his progress is proof that he’s not totally out of the game and has he put it, “I can and will”. Thank you Dare2Tri for working with veterans and thank you Juan for your service.
