Schools in Andover are now prepared to respond to heart attacks on campus.
The KU School of Medicine partnered with USD 385 with the “Project ADAM” heart safety program. It helps schools establish an emergency plan including a cardiac response team.
Project Adam, “Automated Defibrillators in Adam’s Memory,” is a nonprofit that helps schools prepare for cardiac events. Andover USD 385 now has 10 schools certified as “Kansas Project ADAM Heart Safe Schools.”
