Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors veteran John Porazinski. John served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard for 21 years and in that time he remembers the Vietnam veterans who waited with him before his deployment to Iraq in 2006. When he returned home, those same veterans were there to welcome him. Those moments stuck with him and about 5 years ago John became a greeter himself at the Portsmouth International Airport in New Hampshire. The Pease Greeters, as they are called, have fed, honored and thanked more than 310,000 troops for their service who have passed through on their way to or from areas of conflict. John says they send them off and welcome them home in honorable fashion. Thank you John and all the Pease Greeters for your service.
