On a sunny day in late May a ribbon cutting happened for a brand new park in Wichita that is like nothing else in town.
Pracht Wetlands Park, on 29th Street just east of Maize Road is what is being described as an urban wetland park, complete with galvanized steel walkways that take you to a pair of bird observation decks. Eventually, a 1/2 mile loop will take you deep into the 91 acres and allow you to see the cranes, pheasant, turkey, deer, badgers, beavers, and various amphibians that all inhabit that area.
