A veteran Wichita police officer was arrested and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence.
The police department said the off-duty officer was arrested Friday evening by Mulvane Police. He is an 18-year veteran of the department and he is now on a paid administrative assignment.
The Mulvane Police Department is investigating and the Wichita Police Department will conduct an internal review.
