The McPherson Fire department responded to a mass carbon monoxide event at a Burger King near the travel center.
Ten patients, traveling with a church group back to Oklahoma City, showed signs of carbon monoxide poisoning.
It’s believed the vehicle the group was traveling in developed a mechanical issue in which carbon monoxide entered the cabin area.
The patients have been transported to Wichita.
