New bill aimed to help veterans start businesses

Kansas Senator, Jerry Moran, was part of a bipartisan bill that was introduced this month.

The Veterans Jobs Opportunities Act would create a small business startup tax credit to help veterans who establish small businesses in underserved communities.

There are roughly 2.5 million veteran-owned small businesses in the US, representing approximately 9.1% of all U.S. businesses.
