Kansas farmers have the chance to direct $2,500 to their favorite local nonprofit organization through America’s Farmers Grow Communities program, sponsored by the Bayer Fund.

Kansas farmers have directed more than $2,370,000 to a variety of nonprofits, such as food banks, volunteer fire, and EMS departments, among countless others since Grow Communities began in 2010. Nationally, farmers have worked with Grow Communities to direct more than $33 million to thousands of nonprofit organizations nationwide.

“Famers truly understand the needs of their communities, which is why we partner with them to help identify the local eligible nonprofits that make a difference,” said Al Mitchell, Bayer Fund President. “Since Grow Communities began, we have heard countless stories about how the $2,500 donations have made a positive impact on the nonprofits and the people they serve, and we are excited to team with farmers once again this year.”

Farmers can enroll for the chance to direct a $2,500 donation through November 1, 2019, and winners will be announced in January of 2020. Kansas farmers can enter for a chance to win online or by calling 1-877-267-3332 toll-free.

Farmers must be 21 or older and actively farming 250 acres or more.
