Saturday is National S’mores Day. The Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland invites the public to a free celebration to create their own s’mores, and get a taste of life as a Girl Scout.

Families can enjoy free S’mores, hot dogs and hands-on STEM activities for National S’mores Day from 12 to 2pm, this Saturday (Aug. 10th) at the Girl Scouts headquarters, located at 360 Lexington Rd. in Wichita.

During the event, families can discover how Girl Scouts helps girls think creatively and act boldly.  Council staff will be at events across Kansas to help girls sign up or renew for Girl Scouts and speak with those interested in making a difference in their community through a variety of volunteer opportunities.
