A wrong-way driver who rammed into a police officer is facing several charges.
It happened around 2:15 this (Saturday) morning at Kellogg and Maize. Wichita police say the driver of a truck hit one of their officer’s patrol cars after driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of traffic.
That man was arrested and faces several charges including DUI, DUI after a second conviction, aggravated battery, driving the wrong way on a one-way road, driving on an expired driver’s license, and hit-and-run. The officer who he hit has minor injuries.
The wrong-way driver was not injured.
