Sedgwick County residents can now request a free coupon to dispose of up to 1,000 lbs. of bulky waste.

Bulky waste may include furniture, rugs and carpets, countertops, toilets, vanities, showers and bathtubs, large appliances that don’t contain refrigerants – such as stoves, dishwashers and dryers, console television and large televisions – swing sets, tree limbs, and other such items too large for a trash container.

Tires, mattresses, appliances containing refrigerant, liquids, hazardous materials, commercially generated construction and demolition material is not accepted.

Residents can dispose of trash only at the Waste Connections Transfer Station, 4300 W. 37th St. N. Coupons expire November 20, 2019.
