Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Marine veteran Travis Snyder.  Travis served in the Marines from 2012 to 2018 and like many he had a hard time adjusting back to civilian life.  Travis was aware of PTSD and had heard the statistics but it wasn’t until a friend of his took his life that it finally hit home.  So, starting today, working through Mission 22, Travis is going to walk a 900 mile/30 day journey around Lake Michigan to raise awareness about PTSD and the 20+ veterans a day who take their own lives. Travis says, “Just being there to listen or talk to somebody can change the course of a person’s life and their families too”.  Thank you Travis for your dedication and your service.
