Pig ears sold through online retailers recalled

There are pig ear dog treats being recalled due to salmonella concerns. The FDA warns that pig ears made by “Brutus & Barnaby” are being recalled after being sold through online retailers. If you’re in Clearwater, you may have even purchased them at Nature’s Food Patch.

Bags of the pig ear treats were sold nationwide via amazon.comchewy.comBrutusandbarnaby.com, and at the brick and mortar store, Natures Food Patch, in Clearwater. The product was sold in four different sizes (8 count, 12 count, 25 count, and 100 count).

The FDA advises throwing away the treats, which could be a danger to dogs and the humans handling them. You can receive a full refund for your purchase. Call Brutus & Barnaby with questions at 1-800-489-0970.

More on the FDA recall can be found here.
