Halstead Police say a juvenile has been arrested following a possible threat.

Halstead High School contacted police shortly before 3 p.m. Friday to report the alleged threat.  Police arrested the teen for suspicion of criminal threat.

Details of the alleged threat made have not been released.

“This appears to be an isolated incident and there is currently no active threat at Halstead High School,” police say. “The Halstead Police Department takes incidents such as these very seriously and will investigate them to the fullest extent possible in order to ensure as safe of (an) environment for our schools and community as possible.”
