Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Navy veteran Keith Sherman. Keith has been to a lot of funerals. He supported SEAL and Special Warfare teams through his career and lost many friends who died in combat or took their own lives. He served his country for 26 years and right before he retired, he was preparing for a three-month inpatient treatment program for PTSD. That’s when he decided to go on a mission. Keith decided he would travel the country, honor the memories of his fallen friends and start gather their stories from their Gold Star families, those who have lost loved ones through military service. For them, Keith says, the grief never ends. Thank you Keith for your dedication and your service.
