Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors World War II veteran Harry McLear.  Harry is a die hard Kansas City Royals fan.  If you’re ever at a Royals game, look for Harry 4 rows behind the Royals dugout.  In 1943, Harry signed with the New York Yankees from a try out at the old Kansas City Municipal Stadium.  However, he never got to play because the Army called.   Harry’s life sound like a Hollywood movie.  He has played golf with Payne Stewart, shared a soda with Muhammad Ali and was a consult to Morocco. Oh, he has also shaken hands with two kings, two presidents and baseball legend Satchel Paige.  When he’s not hanging at the ball park watching the game he is building an autism ranch in Arizona that he will name after his son.  Thank you Harry for your service.
