Star Spangled Salute: A Vietnam Veteran and Male Breast Cancer Survivor

Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Vietnam veteran Michael Riche.   Michael said one day he had a nose bleed concerning enough that he went to the hospital.  Days later, he was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.   October is “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” and Michael is a survivor who participated in his local Susan G. Komen “More Than Pink” event.  Michael now advocates to get the word out about how breast cancer effects everyone, not just the patient but the family too.  He also wants guys to get in the habit of getting checked, saying “It could save your life.”  Thank you Michael for your service and dedication.
