A crash in north Wichita left one woman dead early Sunday morning.
Police were called to the crash around 4 a.m., at 26th and Market. A single vehicle had hit a utility police and flipped over. 21-year-old Natalie Ibarra had been thrown from the car was found in the street. Despite efforts to revive her she died at the scene.
The 22-year-old man who was driving the car was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. As of Monday morning he is reported to have been treated at released.
Investigators are still looking into the crash but say they believe alcohol and speed were involved. The District Attorney’s Office will decide on any potential charges against the driver once an investigation is finished.
