More details released in fatal Wichita shooting

Police have identified the man who was shot and killed early Friday at a southeast Wichita home.

40-year-old Charles Cunningham was pronounced dead at a hospital after the shooting in the 4400 block of East Bayley.   Police said Cunningham and his 42-year-old brother went to the home because of an ongoing dispute.   Cunningham attacked a 26-year-old man at the home and the man fired a shot, killing Cunningham.

The 26-year-old man was arrested on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell.  Investigators recovered a number of guns and drugs, and they are still investigating the shooting.  Information will be presented to the Sedgwick County district attorney’s office next week.
