Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors 84-year old veteran Lt. Col Maggie DeSanti. When Maggie was an Army nurse during the Vietnam War, she rappelled from helicopters to treat the wounded. To this day, she still stay fit. The other day, Maggie was in the airport on her way to board an honor flight bound for D.C. when she challenged the TSA agent to a friendly competition of 10 push ups. After her bit of fun, she then stood up, adjusted her uniform and continued on to her flight. Thank you Maggie for your service.
