Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors the students of Clearwater Elementary West School.  This month, the kindergarten through 3rd graders have been collecting money for Kansas Honor Flight.  For every $800 they raise, they put the silhouette of a soldier on the wall to represent a trip being paid for.  Then, next Friday, a class from each grade will welcome back the veterans aboard Kansas Honor Flight 78 and present the funds they raise.   Today is the last day, so if you have kids who go to Clearwater Elementary West or even if you don’t get your money turned in today.  To the kids of Clearwater Elementary West, thank you for doing a good thing to help our veterans and to the veterans who will leave on Wednesday aboard Kansas Honor Flight 78, thank you for your service.
