Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Iraq war veteran and Army reservist Damian Gehris. Despite the unpleasant weather moving in, Damian is on a more than 200-mile ruck from Springfield, Missouri to Saint Louis to raise awareness and money to fight the problem of human trafficking. There are millions of women and children missing in the human trafficking system and Damian says he didn’t realize the billions of dollars being spent in the human trafficking world. He believe strongly that more people need to stand up against human trafficking, so he’s doing his part. Damian hopes to raise $5,000 while on his journey. Thank you Damian for taking a stand and for your service.
