Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Army veteran Jodi Rund.  Rund was in the Army National Guard from 2001 to 2006 and spent 15 months in Iraq as a machine gunner and a Combat Lifesaver.  During her service her unit suffered 39 casualties, including her best friend who was a bridesmaid at her wedding.  After a lot of tragedy and hardship and after her service, Rund pursued her masters in global studies and education and she and her husband moved away from the states.  Her travels and variety of jobs eventually led her and her husband to turn their passion for fitness, nutrition and education into a business.  They currently own 3 “Fit Body Boot Camp” franchises in Florida.  Thank you Jodi for your service.
