Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors all the veterans aboard Kansas Honor Flight #78 returning home today from their trip to Washington D.C.
We also salute the kids of Clearwater Elementary West. We told you about their fundraiser a week ago. They are happy to report that they raised $8,177.23 in donations for Kansas Honor Flight and a class from 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade will be at the airport today to present a check to Kansas Honor flight.
With only about 360 kids in the school, this is a big total and will help send many veterans on a future trip. To the kids, faculty and families of Clearwater Elementary West and Kansas Honor Flight, thank you for supporting the veterans. To those veterans, thank you for your service.
