Phone lines will be open throughout the day Tuesday for listeners to help with the annual Christmas Crusade.
KFDI, The Fox and Radio Lobo from the SummitMedia stations in Wichita will again team up with the Wichita Police Department and the Salvation Army to help needy children and families during the holidays. The program will provide Christmas toys for over 600 children this season.
Listeners can call in to sponsor a child, then they will shop the child’s wish list and drop the toys off at the KFDI studios. Volunteers will organize and wrap the gifts and police officers will deliver them in time for Christmas. Families will also receive a food voucher from the Salvation Army to provide a Christmas dinner.
The Salvation Army will have its Virtual Angel Tree, and listeners can sponsor a child there. The web site is https://kfdi.theangelgivingtree.org
