Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors the non-profit Arts in the Armed Forces, founded by Marine veteran Adam Driver and his wife Joanne. Arts in the Armed Forces is designed to bring high-quality theater to active duty service members, veterans and their families on Broadway. Recently, for one night only the organization hosted a performance of “A Raisin In The Sun”, originally performed by U.S. Army veteran and actor Sidney Poitier. Adam and his wife believe in a way they are saving lives with art, saying it helps bring people out of the dark. A month from now you can see Adam on the big screen as Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Thank you Adam for your service and your dedication to our veterans and active duty military.
