The Sedgwick County district attorney’s office has filed charges against a registered sex offender for a kidnapping of a teenage girl in an east Wichita neighborhood.

58-year-old Anthony Craig Seymour made his first appearance in court Thursday, and his bond was set at $250,000.   A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for December 5th.   Seymour is charged with aggravated kidnapping, rape, aggravated robbery, aggravated criminal sodomy, and criminal possession of a firearm.

Witnesses saw a 15-year-old girl being forced into a car on the evening of November 18th near 2nd and Volutsia.  They called 911 and police moved into the area.  The girl ran from the man’s car and police tracked him down a short time later.

Police said Seymour is a registered sex offender from a similar case that happened in Wichita in 2003.
