A Buhler middle school teacher and football coach has been identified as the driver killed in a crash Friday morning in Reno County.
It happened shortly after 7:30 a.m. on K-61 near the Medora exit. The Kansas Highway Patrol said a pickup went out of control on an icy bridge and collided with a semi.
The KHP identified the victim as 46-year-old Jory Konrade. He taught at Prairie Hills Middle School and also served as a football coach.
The Buhler school district had counselors on-hand for students on Friday. A scheduled vocal music concert at the school has been postponed.
