The Kansas Highway Patrol said two people were killed Friday afternoon in a crash in McPherson County.
The accident was reported on Highway 56 near 25th Avenue, just west of Canton. Motorists are being asked to avoid that area and traffic is being detoured from Highway 56.
Two people were killed and a medical helicopter was sent to the crash site for others who were seriously injured.
It’s not clear if weather was a factor in the crash.
