Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Vietnam veteran Tom Cittadino and a teenager named Carly.  Earlier this month, Tom was given a letter during a Veterans Day parade signed with only the name Carly. Tom said the letter was so heartfelt that he was inspired to contact the author.  So, with the help of a local tv station, they found Carly, the 15-year old who wrote the letter.  Tom says the letter was so well written and it moved him.  Going on to say it was the thank you he didn’t receive upon his return from Vietnam 50 years ago.  Turns out Carly has been writing letters to veterans ever since she was a little girl and now this one has helped develop a new friendship between the two.  Thank you Tom for your service and thank you Carly for your letters.
