The Kansas State Fire Marshall’s Office is looking into the cause of a duplex fire in Marion that left one person dead.
The fire was reported around 3 Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Cedar and Lawrence. The west side of the duplex was engulfed in flames when crews got to the scene. An unidentified man was found in the duplex after crews got the fire under control, and the body was taken to a forensic center in Kansas City for identification.
