A school in southeast Wichita was locked down for a time Wednesday afternoon when people in the building heard gunshots.
Sources at Colvin Elementary School told KFDI News they heard ten gunshots around noon. Police confirmed that there was a report of a disturbance with a weapon at Ross Parkway and Roosevelt, but no one was hurt. No other details have been released.
The lockdown was lifted after police checked out the area.
