The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office says a 2-year-old boy has died from his injuries following an accident Sunday near Bentley.
It happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. at a home located on 101st Street North near 119th Street West. A driver told deputies they were backing out of a building when they struck the boy with the vehicle.
The boy was transported by EMS to Wesley Medical Center where he died of his injuries, shortly after 3:30 p.m.
“Our thoughts are with the family during this tragic time.” said the sheriff’s office in a news release. The accident is still under investigation and the sheriff’s office is withholding the boy’s name.
