The Emporia Gazette reports that the sheriff’s office, along with the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism, and EMS were called to a rural area on the report of an accidental shooting.

When they arrived, they found 71-year-old Eldon Dale Holsey of Park City who had been struck in the hand and forearm.  A tourniquet and other first aid had already been rendered to Holsey.
