Two more delivery drivers robbed in southeast Wichita

The Wichita Police Department says it has been looking into a string of pizza delivery driver robberies since October.

There had been five reported across the city, and police say in these cases drivers were having food and money stolen as they arrived to make their delivery.

Two new but similar cases came in Wednesday night, both at the same apartment complex near Harry and Oliver.

The first robbery was reported at 8 p.m., in the 4900 block of east Harry. Someone delivering food knocked on a door but nobody answered. As they were leaving, someone pointed a gun at the driver and took the food and money. The suspect in that case is described as a white man in this 20’s, 5-feet-8-inches tall, and thin. He was wearing a white hoodie and jeans.

The second robbery involved a Domino’s driver who was robbed after dropping off a pizza at the same complex. As the driver was leaving two people with guns approached and took money before leaving on foot. The suspects in this case are described as black men in their 20’s, about 5-feet-8-inches tall. One’s face was covered with a gray bandanna and the other had a gray mask.

Investigators are working to find if these cases are connected to each other, or the five previous cases.
