Butler County is reporting that incoming calls cannot be made to most of its offices.

County dispatch and 911 are still working though because they’re on a separate system.

Problems started around 4:30 Thursday afternoon and the county has been working with Windstream, who provides the county’s phone services. The latest information is that the current problems stems from at AT&T issues and the companies are working to make repairs.

A press release from Butler County says there was a similar problem last month, though not all incoming lines were down like they are this time. Because there have been ongoing phone issues, county staff are looking at alternatives to prevent more issues going forward.
