A record number of travelers are expected to head to the airports and highways between now and January 1.

AAA of Kansas expects 115.6 million people to travel for the holidays this year.  105 million will be traveling by car.

Motorists could see some traffic delays in larger cities, especially those located along intersections of major highways and interstates.  If you are heading out this week, make sure you plan ahead to avoid major delays, including construction projects that could slow you down.

You can visit Kandrive.org to view all state traffic conditions, including current road construction.  The website also has links to neighboring states highway information.

Gas prices are about 4 cents cheaper this week, but still 18 cents higher than this time last year.
