Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Veteran Master Sgt. Jewell Robinson. Jewell entered the Marine Corp in 1998 and now serves as a reservist. Jewell was recently crowned Ms. Veteran Delmarva 2020, but she has her sights set on a much bigger goal. Since she has worked with most branches of the military she saw a need and hopes to create a mandatory training program for diversity and inclusion across all military branches. She says, “Being able to know the person you’re seated next to, let alone the person you want to deploy with and go to combat with, is so important.” Jewell went on to say, “I’ve got one year to make a difference.” Thank you for your determination and your vision Jewell.
